Between the apparent mind-over-matter factor when it comes to dragon growth & having the Element of Effortless Polymorphing Magic(C) for a big sis, I find it pretty easy to disregard the mope-in-a-cave-destiny fanon myself. Plus, might take him a while to get that big anyway. That noted, it might indeed be easier to play with some concepts in a single comic issue-less syndicated pressure for Central Character Focus(R).
I agree. While I don’t really care for the comic series, I do like this concept of not all dragons grow as big as a house.
Aw c’mon, did you really have to take the bait?
Yeah, the comics seem to readily deviate from show continuity, which wasn’t didn’t have a pristine record to begin with. Still, I imagine maaaybe there’re some ideas that they can only implement through the comics because they don’t want to risk it on the show itself. I also did like the idea for the dragons, since I’ve always wanted somewhat official sources to say not all dragons grow to ursa major proportions and give me reason to ignore headcanons where Spike has to leave his pony family for a cave in the alps because of uncontrollable adolescence of all things.
Explain.
Can’t say I consider IDW’s content anything but an Elseworlds(R)-esque spin on the show’s timeline at this point, but a few more non-antagonist dragons couldn’t hurt where Spike’s self-image is concerned. There’s certainly less stifling places for that to go than “HURR DURR SHIPPING FUEL”. ‘Specially if she’s old enough to throw some helpful non-pony-documented advice his way.
The Spikedance train never ended, it’s just taking a pitstop.
Yeah. While I don’t mind Spike being pair with Mina, but however I prefer Spike being pair with a pony, not another dragon.
Haha, I remember. That was certainly a weird period.
Do you remember when some people started to ship Spike with Princess Cadance? That didn’t last long.
Yeah, that sounds about right. Flash at least had the luxury of being in a featured film. This dragon girl only got a short FF role that’s basically designed to create unlikely scenarios.
We all said the same thing about Flash Sentry. Boy were we wrong?! I even called him a Flash in the pan character. Although I think it’s true in this case. Ten to one the girl dragon never shows up again after this issue.
It seems you’re right. Apparently Pia is a little miffed but overall not really fazed. Still, it’s one way to gain motivation for making Sparity pics.
I don’t think she wouldn’t care. The character from that comic is really just a one time character. So I doubt we never see her again.
A female dragon shows up and befriends Spike.
What happens in that?
