Lemme tell yah, it makes it damn difficult to play D’n’D when the cats show up. Dice and figurines everywhere, character sheet underneath five pounds of fuzzball…
Warmth is probably a thing, too. It definitely is, actually. Even us humans like to sleep under blankets, hence in a warmer place.
I always thought that was because they’re drawn to anything with their owner’s smell on it, and/or body warmth. Or just warmth. Like how cats will hop into a basket of fresh from the dryer laundry and take a nap.
That’s what they’re doing when they get in the box.
