6.28 = June 28th.
No, no, no! But I thought that was a Cyrillic alphabet!!
Greek, presumably. Because alpha, beta, delta, etc are all greek. Roman symbols are essentially what we’re all typing in right now, just slightly modified over the centuries to be better suited for every day life and advancements in technology.
Thats the symbol for Pi. I think it’s some roman symbol
Is it a п day?
And there’s even people being angry over that Tau isn’t used as much <.<
I prefer e^iPi + 1 = 0
There’s also Fourier Series coefficients formulas, which all have a simple Pi in them.
I personally have no idea why this tau thing is even a thing. They’re both rightful.
I am grateful e doesn’t have an equivalent. Unless there are people who want to use “а” as “1/e” or something.
But e ^ i tau = 1
An equally elegant formula.
Most Tau folks aren’t saying get rid of Pi. They’re saying that it should be a mathematical standard.
e^(i pi) = -1, whereas e^(i tau/2) = -1.
The integral of e^(-x^2) over the real line is the square root of pi, or tau/2.
tau people are fighting a pretty uphill battle.
Seriously, though. Dafuq don’t we use the constant based on what actually defines a circle (it’s radius) instead of it’s diameter?
Excellent representation of a Tau-fanatic.
