Fair enough, assuming that’s her motivation. If so I would expect her to get some comeuppance for such use of magic - judging by the cover it seems she won’t be having a good time inside Mac’s head. But it’s hard to say just based on a synopsis.
Though one could consider ‘figuring out what makes Big Mac tick’ a service to science and ponykind, as I’m sure it’s been a question plaguing most everyone XD
When your motivation is to just pry rather than help, yeah, I think it is.

How about we wait and SEE what’s gonna happen before judging either character? It’s most likely a misunderstanding rather than either being an asshole. Twilight has gone bonkers before, but it’s always had some setup to explain it.
Plus, is getting into someone’s mind even that huge a deal in a world where Luna watches and enters your dreams at will? Equestria is a crazy place anyway.

So I can’t see why he wouldn’t try to help, unless he’s that busy. Or the aforementioned help is too cryptic.

Also, you’re an asshole, so that’s in character for you. Big MacIntosh, while his “awesome big bro” image is still mostly fanon, is most certainly not an asshole. So this seems OOC. But I guess I am sorta stretching it here.
It could just as easily imply that Twi is so unable to piece together his succinct answers that she sees mind control as the only option.
And it would take more than that for me to help her.
