Well I do admit that I’m not an expert when it comes to smog so I don’t know how much protection a mask like that offers but I do know that many asians wear masks because of sickness http://goo.gl/9EUKY1
They don’t use it when they’re sick (well, that too I guess), but to protect their lungs from smog.
