There’s hypocrites on both sides. I remember seeing a brony bashing Sonic fans for making recolor fan-characters/OCs, and ranting about that… His DA gallery was full of copy-and-paste recolored pony OCs… (That looked copied off of official art from the show, and recolored.)
 
I really don’t understand these fans who bash other fans for doing the exact same thing they do.

The comment section of this Live and Learn PMV have a Sonic fan saying that he’s sick of seeing everything ponified, and here’s someone’s reply to him:
 
You're a Sonic fan, correct? Are you aware of the history of your fandom? If not, then let me brush up some Internet history for you. Before the brony fandom came to existence, (next to the anime fandom) the Sonic fandom was once the top dog of crossovers, fan made music videos, fanart, and OC's. And just like the anime fandom, Sonic fans were used to be seen as the "disease" of the Internet and you Sonic fans used to got a lot of hate a ridicule back in the day. One can argue the Sonic fans were pretty much the bronies of the 2000's. Back then, almost everyone on the Internet was sick and tired of seeing Sonic everywhere (sounds familiar, doesn't?) These days the Sonic fandom has calmed down and doesn't get as much hate and ridicule as it did a few years ago. But if you're going to bash on others then know your place; otherwise you'll only sound like a foolish hypocrite.

Well of course. One thing that haters don’t realize is that even WE realize we have obnoxious fans. And unfortunately they’re very prominent on the internet. In real life we have an excellent reputation, but online we’re still kind of outcasts. Anyone who thinks their fan base is perfect is deluding themselves.

Actually, I hear MLP:FiM has Sonic beat in the R34 department by a larger margin according to the R34 website. (I’m not sure as I never been there.) Also, I haven’t seen that many Sonic crossover pics lately.
 
Also, honestly, no fanbase is a utopia, especially the MLP one. I’ve had my fair share of encounters with obnoxious MLP fans, as well as Sonic fans. (As a fan of both, I’d know.) Though, don’t get me wrong, I’ve met alot of cool fans in both fanbases to.

I guess you’re right. I still prefer Star Wars crossovers though because it has some similarities, and it just fits. (it might be because I’m a HUGE fan of both) The Force is similar to magic, and ponies prove to be incredibly agile (and have some good dexterity for creatures with no hands) so lightsabers are the perfect weapon.
 
I’ll admit I do kind of like Sonic, but I’m far from its fandom. It’s not nearly as bad as some (Call of Duty and Twilight for example) but it’s still not the best. They’re MUCH worse on the crossovers and the r34 stuff than MLP is. Plus I really don’t care seeing it mixed together with MLP unless it’s the classic version. I prefer the classic Sonic on the Genesis. I enjoyed Sonic X (the anime) and Sonic Unleashed, but nothing can ever compare to the classics.

A li’l risque’ is fine, but I don’t like the graphic stuff either, and I filter-out the explicit, as well.
 
Frankly, I prefer Sonic to “Star Wars,” but to each their own. And frankly, I’ve seen more pony fan-works crossed over with Nintendo games, Star Trek, Fallout, and such then with Sonic honestly. The Sonic ones just get more drama, sense it’s kinda trendy to hate Sonic online lately due to how “controversial” the series has gotten in recent years.
 
Also, considering Sonic & Rainbow Dash have similar personalities, (both cocky, yet loyal to their friends, adventurous, and like acting “cool” which is even lampshaded in the above image) and the “elements of harmony” are kinda similar to the “chaos emeralds,” among other things so both series have some slight similarities. (And both feature animal characters.)  
In fact, Pony X Star Wars, honestly seems more-so cliche’/overdone if you ask me. (Considering everything’s been crossed over with SW. Pony, Mario, Muppets, Mortal Kombat, you name it.)
 
Though, I think Shadow & Dashie would get on each others’ nerves.

“Autistic” is an insult made by 12 year olds who have no idea what it means. I’ve seen bullsh*tters on youtube who say that bronies make them look good because they’re autistic but it’s a 99.9% chance they’re idiots with a big mouth.

People like seeing that stuff for some reason. I don’t mind nudity but when it comes to graphic sex it’s pretty gross. It’s why I have “explicit” as the only spoilered tag. And people don’t like the Sonic stuff because there’s SO much of it and honestly I don’t see it as a good crossover. There are much better things to crossover MLP with, like Star Wars.

I find it hilarious people here are more “offended” by the Sonic-related pics, (even the decent ones) then by all the pr0n, fetish-pics, ’shipping, and stuff. Sonic is now literally “more taboo” then porn on this site.
