The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@SuperDEF
Her first response to danger has, overwhelmingly, been violence. She kicked a Manticore in the face in the first episode when it charged the Mane 6, and she was punching changelings out in the Season 2 finale with hooks. When Spike was threatened in Dragon Quest, her first response was to threaten the dragons back. Regardless of her appearance, Rarity is a physical combatant and she’s damn good at it, too.

Now I haven’t actually read the comic yet since the place I buy them batch ships to me every six weeks or so, but can’t we assume that the fight is staged, and the opponents are good enough to make it look legit, regardless of cheerilee and rarity’s skill?

That’s just speculation, not a real canon fact. We can say a lot of things about Rarity’s flying kick, her (unlikely) training, etc.

It doesn’t matter, I’m just saying I personally can’t see her being a professional fighter that most people make her out to be.

Again: for the flying kick, she’d have to be training. Possibly under the Mrs. Black Belt Rainbow Dash. That does provide necessary experience for (staged) fighting, even if not in the Luchador style.

Rarity jump-kicked a door out. In show itself, no less. While that isn’t a particularily hard feat (mass by momentum), it requires considerable precision and training to not get damaged (she did not).

Oh, and even the physically most unfit M6 (Twilight) carried Tom without much trouble.

I’m having hard time believing that Rarity is physically strong in combat. Not complaining, just saying that its hard to see Rarity having that trait.

It’s not that hard to imagine when you consider Rarity’s dad. She probably takes after him a lot more than she lets on.

Who’s to say that the large pony (Steel Buns) may actually be less stronger than he appears? And the Changelings aren’t really that powerful as everyone makes them out to be, even in mass numbers. Remember, a Changeling OK’ed itself just from merely tripping?
GeoPony

Rarity has proven over and over again to be not only willing to engage in combat, but very sure of herself in such situations. As well as the previous comments, there was the ‘Dragon Quest’ episode in which she was prepared to throw herself into the fray against the adolescent dragons.
In short: Best horse can and will kick some serious flank.
