The McDonald’s Toys on Taobao have finally surfaced on the websites of McDonald’s Australasia.
If we replaced Pinkie with Rarity, all 4 kinds of Ponies and all 4 voice actresses would be present.
I think they’re mostly popular with the older fans. Plus, they only had room for 8 toys. (Though, I guess they could’ve made the EqG ones different characters.)
And two of them, to make up for not getting a “Rainbow Rocks” toy last year. She was replaced by a pony who appears only once a season. Well, DJ appeared twice last season actually. Three times if you count the RR movie, and four times if you count her solo official animated-internet short.

And before anyone claims, “oh li’l kids wouldn’t care/wouldn’t notice” my niece did wonder why AJ toys have no hat.
