I have to agree with Icekitsune here. Austraeoh is not exactly an easy book to get into, with a confusing and dry beginning leading into some vague and rather generic encounters… at least at first. Particularly once you get to the second book, things pick up fast and it all becomes rather amazing.

How much of it have you read exactly? Even as someone who loves the series I will say that the beginning of Austraeoh is pretty boring and repetitive but once she starts running into other civilizations, and having interactions with ponies it really starts to pick up quick.

I’m sorry, I don’t actually think it’s awful. I have a bad habit of going straight to excessive hyperbole.
 
I’ll just say I don’t like it because I find the plot repetitious and the writing style long-winded and overly ornate (the writing could use some pruning).
