Then how do you explain the hooftracks and the sound of a retreating pony? Besides, it wasn’t Amon who killed himself, it was Tarrlock who pulled the trigger and you could interpret Amon as letting it happen.

Personal hope is that in reality she pulled an Amon and committed suicide right there, it’s just they show writers had to include a “She got away” line to make sure not to offend any of the target demographics parents.

Leave the insults out of your squabbling.

Actually not teleportation; the next shot has footprints and they talk again about how finding someone who escaped into those caves is impossible. She’s good but she’s not that level.

I doubt she’ll return… but it’ll be alright if she does….

And no, I know they weren’t losing their talents beyond the premiere… because that would be SUICIDE for the show. Did you even READ the rest of my post beyond that sentence?

Yeah. Worst case scenario, she’s never brought up again until next season, where she has one focus episode and maybe a finale where she plays a VERY minor role, only to return two seasons later and have cameos in two episodes.
 
Slightly better scenario is “Wait, we’re at the finale! Oh shit! Quick, fire off that chekhov’s gun we had throughout all of the season but never fired!”

I get the feeling you somehow thought the Mane6 were going to lose their powers for several episodes or maybe the whole season. If that’s what you thought, I got news for you:

I had hoped that season 4 being so “awful” would flush out folks like you. Just stop watching if the show is only going to piss you off.

i liked the idea that she got away. i enjoyed this episode because it broke cliches, because it gets repetitive to see the mane six reforming/defeating a villian. this can open up a lot of theories, and i like the way this show’s taken its turn. it took a real adult turn and tackled morals and polititial points that most kid shows would shy away from. great job as always, writers and DHX.
