Starlight doesn’t want to be the best, or at least won’t admit it to herself. She wants to drag everypony down for its own sake.
@Aharon L’anglais
Trixie wouldn’t want to be a master criminal, though. She might turm to crime if she was desperate, but what she really wants out of life is the spotlight. If anything, she’d want to be on Twilight’s good side now that she’s a princess. After all, what stage performer doesn’t dream of landing a cushy gig at the Palace?
I thought that that was because The Joker was less trouble for Lex Luthor when he let’s the Joker “in on the fun” when he wants instead of keeping him out of his plots.
This dynamic/excuse does not exist even in theory between Starlight Glimmer & Trixie.
So are the Joker and Lex Luthor yet they work together all the time. I’m sure Starlight hates Twilight enough to make a deal where she allows her coconspirators to keep their cutie Marks in exchange for their help.
Yeah, pretty much!
Trixie strives to be the best by rising above all the rest; Starlight strives to be the best by dragging everypony else down.
the two are like polar opposites in terms of philosophy.
Trixie would never submit to having her Cutie Mark taken away, and Starlight would never accept working with somepony that hasn’t been “equalized”.
Which is one reason I can see her siding with Starlight. Trixie and Starlight are probably two of the most powerful unicorns, if not in power than at least in intelligence and cunning. Getting on Starlight’s good side will give Trixie an opportunity to take her out and claim the top spot. For all we know Trixie was faking the remorse she showed in magic duel. Even Trixie doesn’t want revenge on Twilight she may have other reasons for wanting to get rid of her. Suppose Trixie sees Twilight as a threat to her schemes and potential crimes. Twilight appears to be the smartest person in Equestria as well an ace mystery solver. With Twilight out of the way, Trixie could pull off the crime of the century and get away with it.
What the duck are you even talking about?
If she’s run out of pride to wound, that would be likely.
Supposedly Lightning has actually learned her lesson too, since Rainbow was willing to listen to her recommendation of a carnival ride in a recent G.M. Berrows book. I read somewhere that according to Hasbro those books and the comics are technically canon.
The thing is, does Trixie even want to beat Twilight at this point?
She’d probably be happier with making a hatful of money from her shows than showing up a unicorn (I don’t know if Trixie knows Twilight has become an alicorn yet) who was able to outwit her even with a powerful artifact super-charging her magic.
Trixie is prideful, and a little cocky, and maybe a bit of a arrogant jerk at times, but she isn’t stupid. Even better, once Trixie does find out Twilight has ascended, this’ll lower her desire to “get revenge” on her even more, since that means the “most powerful/skilled unicorn in Equestria” spot is now open, since Twilight is technically not a unicorn anymore.
A thief is one thing, but I doubt she’d sink much lower than that. Whereas Lightning Dust has already demonstrated that while she may not be a murderer per se, she doesn’t care one bit if her actions nearly cause pointless deaths, and it doesn’t really seem like she’d have given a flying feather if everypony had died. And don’t even get me started on Starlight.
Trixie is slowly slipping back into her old tendencies. She has a potential to become a criminal due to feeling entitled to what she would steal. While she wouldn’t be mad about getting the alicorn amulet off of her, she’d still figure twilight would try to stop her crimes.
The second time, being beaten by Twilight saved her from Equestria’s answer to the One Ring. I somehow don’t think she’s angry about that.
In personality, Trixie is a lot like the Riddler.
Trixie’s a stage magician, not a supervillain.
Still just because Twilight beat her twice doesn’t mean Trixie definitely wouldn’t join forces with Starlight. If that was the case, Lex Luthor would have given up on trying to kill Superman by now. Trixie’s powers may not be as strong as Twilight’s but I read somewhere that she is supposed to be just as smart as Twilight is. Obviously she’d realize that she would have a better chance of defeating Twilight if she’d worked with a team.
Most people?
I mean she was insane during her second episode, but the thing influencing her was removed & she was shown to be no longer insane at the end of it.
Who says Trixie’s sane.
Oh no, she’s totally their friend now.
Even if Trixie wasn’t fully redeemed, she’d want absolutely nothing to do with Twilight and her gang; she was beaten twice, once at her own game! To go back again would be the definition of insanity.
And Blueblood, cruel? He was a jerk, that was about it.
Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon: Leaders and co-element of treason
Flim and Flam: Element of deceit
Suri Polomare: Element of greed
Lightning Dust (unwilling): Element of disloyalty
Gilda (coerced): Element of malice
Prince Blueblood: Element of Cruelty
Garble: Anti-Spike
I can see Trixie taunting Twilight with riddles.
needs an anti spike too (a dragon with no control over his instincts) so I pick Garble.
