Well, a friend of mine and I actually discussed those muffins, along with the fact that there seem to be no crops, as well as fewer townsponies than cutie marks in the Vault (40-50 ponies excluding the blank-flank foals, versus 95 marks in the Vault).  
Soylent Green Muffins, perhaps? I mean, Starlight doesn’t have to say where the muffin ingredients come from before passing them to Sugar Belle…

Oh, figures. I live pretty secluded myself but food in my country is expensive so it took me by surprise.  
I still see a couple of restaurants up in the Turkish mountains, away from the tourist places whenever I’m vacationing that have 1-5 dishes on the menu.
 
Back on the topic of the pic, I don’t think Sugar Belle’s Muffins should be a sellingpont in any poster what so ever, if Pinkie’s Reaction is anything to go by. Who knows she might just have developed diabetus on the spot and that’s why she became so sick, that’s my headcanon until the next episode were she pours sugar down her throat comes out anyways.
