Natural Astatine is beyond rare. Less than a gram of it exists on the whole earth, as a result of decay of other element, only to decay again in some hours. The thing doesn’t want to exist. It’s the first element that the existence in any visible amount means death and destruction for everyone nearby that I could think about.
Astatine is definitely dangerous, but natural astatine is rare and decays quickly. There are plenty of more common elements that I still wouldn’t want to mess with, including arsenic and the other halogens, among other things. And then we get to some pretty insane compounds…
+1
Yellow glass maybe?
The forms usually used as poisons are soluble, and generally white. I don’t know where the yellow color comes from.
I’d post a picture, but it decayed 8.1 hours ago.
That’s pretty much a given. :)
