Yeah. The story felt really weak. It seems something a bit too mild to banish someone over. I really wish they gave them a far more sinister origin.

Theyβre sirens dude. The entire point of sirens is that their voices control people to want them. Though usually more in a subduction way, but the point is still there.
Maybe they got worse after their exile? With what weβve been shown here, they seem more petty and shallow than would-be world-rulers.
