I don’t think Labba’s Midnight Eclipse story actually used any of these cliches, though…
 
Because my comic series is not exactly a macro/micro story: it might be considered as a… SFW story that happens to feature giant/shrunken ponies. This comic is referring to those fanfics/comics/stories whose main focus is CLEARLY size-difference: “Midnight Eclipse” has got a much bigger plot in which Middy’s shrinking spell just plays a little part.
 
Plus, the last panel is probably what my series would look like if I didn’t always try to remember that it must be enjoyable for everyone, and not just for those like me… ;D

Honestly, I don’t. In the past I saw macro art drawn by excellent artists that showed huge macros hanging out with regular size people without any hostile acts from either (aside from the picture that showed a fennec/bunny whatsit kicking a VW Beetle like a football, but that was a honest mistake :D). And it was awesome.

I really hate all of those cliches. Not sure why everyone assumes macro fetish has to be attached to all the death stuff.

Apparently, “macro action” is only good to them when it’s the macros stomping or swallowing smaller ones, and not the smaller ones using HEAT ammo-loaded anti-material rifles to detonate a macro’s skull, turn huge limbs to slush or blast their ways out of a belly, despite there being gore aplenty.
Go figure.

  1. If stupid is needed for a fetish to happen, then stupid will happen :P  
  2. This is the biggest offender. I can’t stand canon ponies going ridiculously out-of-character.  
  3. Another big offender, it can be okay as long as it isn’t so painfully obvious it was written by someone with that fetish that it’s cringeworthy. A lot of the time it is.  
  4. I’m 100% guilty of liking this.  
  5. This is usually okay if it isn’t out-of-character like #2 (e.g. a villain doing the crushing or an OC tiny thinking it’s sexy).

…once I tried to write a macro-based fiction. The macro fans didn’t like it.
