Simplest explaination is that this scene draws heavily upon British punk rock bands of the 70’s, who had stickers like that on their guitars. The guitar smashing is the most obvious part; a reference to The Who.

another explanation would be that RD is from British decent from either her mom or dad’s side and the only reason she doesn’t have a british accent like her mom or dad is because she was born in what i believe is america

That if the Union Jack is a sticker on a guitar, then it stands to reason the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland would exist. If so, that makes the EQG world a lot closer to Earth than expected.
