I remember reading about Dave Grohl taking in 5-6 pots of coffee a day, he ended up getting chest pains after doing that for a while and went to the hospital.

Try the pills. Double the recommended dosage and drink a cup of water to help with absorption.
After a couple of liters, it does.
It also causes heart attacks, though.
