Well todays the day. One year ago today I started Lunadoodle with this drawing:
So now I have some news that a lot of people probably arent going to like. Ive been planning this for over 150 days now, and Im sure of it at this point. Ill cut to the chase.
From now on, Lunadoodle will no longer be a Daily blog.
Yep, thats right.
Ive been doing this for a year now, Ive only missed a couple days when some pretty serious things happened in my RL that prevented me. But after a year of drawing the same character every day, no matter how much I love Luna, I need to move on to other things.
What other things, you might be wondering? Well I have a lot of projects and Im going through a part of my life where a lot of things are about to change in very big ways. In two months Im going to move to a new city and start a new life. I need to focus my energy on things that will help me move forward in that life and my career, and unfortunately Lunadoodle has become more of a burden than anything.
However, I will not end Lunadoodle. Ill still make posts every now and then, but it wont be daily. The obligation has caused me to burn out. But rest assured, Im still a big Luna fan and I dont plan on stopping drawing her any time soon.
So where else can you find me? Well heres a list of all my blogs and other things:
deviantart: darkflame75.deviantart.com
tumblr: darkflame7.tumblr.com
tumblr askblog (Check it out! Luna is one of the two main characters!):studentofthenight.tumblr.com
I even have a Patreon, though I havent added the rewards yet:patreon.com/darkflame7
And more: darkfla.me
Ah. Right, sorry. Didn’t even think of that. Too used to that abbreviation meaning the other thing.
Student of the Night
Wait, you mean a project about Symphony of the Night? As in the Castlevania thingie?
Excellent!
Totally! In fact that’s part of the reason I need a(n indefinite) hiatus from Lunadoodle, so I can focus more energy on my other projects like SotN.
Well I suppose in a way you could say it’s dying. Just a slow, long-planned death.
@Background Human
I could probably go on, but I’d just rather focus my energies on other projects. I have a lot of big ongoing projects all at once, and Lunadoodle is the only one that I don’t really get anything out of anymore. It’s nice scratching at least one endless project off my list so I can work on the other ones that are important to me (And my future in some cases).
I’m glad to see people enjoyed my year-long experiment/project.
