Something I just realized, a lot of fictional female characters I really like/love tend to have green hair[and in some other cases purple and blue].
 
Palutena was the first in this case for me, I don’t remember the last though.

Celestia doesn’t troll Twilight in the middle of a dangerous mission because “lol” and I don’t think Celestia milks her status. Also unlike Celestia Palutena is not vague as hell with her lessons.
 
And according to the other gods she is not really the nicest of the bunch.

But Palutena is never trying to be elegant and down-to-earth. She does crap for the lols, acts like a geek on the drop of a hat, trolls anytime she can even (mostly) her own minion who is doing all the damn work she sent him to do, etc. And she is not perfect since she can’t cook, is not protected from slapstick, and when she makes a mistake she just rolls with it like she was right even when she gets call out on it, and it is implied by the other gods that she is not as nice as she acts.
 
And Celestia is just Palutena light. (Pun totally intended) Heck compared to Celestia she is an actually developed character.

She’s basically green haired Celestia. Only she actually does sometimes help the main character directly.

I am unable to relate with that character on the left of Princess Celestia, no matter the quantity of explanation you can supply me with.
