Pictures of Rainbow and Gilda being cute kids together always strike me as a little weird because in the only actual episode Gilda is in, she and RD end up falling out over something pretty trivial and apparently stop being friends. If they were friends for a really long time, that’s pretty sad, really. On the other hand, Gilda just being a school chum that RD doesn’t actually know that much about kind of makes more sense to me.

I always assumed Gilda was a little older than Dash, personally
