Sounds exciting, but that’s doubtful as explanation for the spurs and saddles, as it does not explain why they would use something that was used to enslave ponies before they overrun humanity and became the new master race on the planet.
@RedTriangle
Why would they wear saddles, by that logic? I mean, it’s not every day a baby dragon has to ride one.
With this and the Equestria/North America parallel, I’d like to reiterate my fan theory about this being a far post-apocalyptic Earth.
Wait, scratch that. It might that spurs exist for some sort of animals on which ponies actually ride on, like humans ride on horses, in Equestria.
If that’s the case, that will seem a bit weird from our perspective, but since the ponies have no clue about it that one can ride on horses, as this is not a thing in their society, it would be perfectly reasonable if they would have very fast animals on which they ride to get somewhere quicker.
Very good question. The first theory that cames to my mind is that it might be S&M tool, since it’s painful if horses get hit by spurs.
Other than that, I have no idea yet.
Some still cling to the old ways….

Hm. Never heard that one.
Although to be quite honest- my head immediately translated that as twin cartoon henchmen for the Grinch.
“Jingle! Jangle! Hurry up and tear down these sparkles and bangles!”
I still like “Jingle Jangle”.
