Anyway, have some adorable Flashlight. Despite the fact that I’m not a huge fan of Flash Sentry or his shipping with Twilight, I can’t deny that it’s pretty cute.
So what is Flash like? Obviously, he’s a fairly ordinary teenager; somewhat clumsy and awkward, but generally nice enough. He’s obviously very into music, and can be competitive, but he’s usually laid back almost to the point of lethargy. There is more I could talk about, but his personality isn’t really all that important. I only mention it occasionally to refute claims that he has no established character.
As for what the writers have done with Flash, I can think of several key things. He’s a supporting character, which means that in part, he exists to help Twilight’s character development. He was the first person to offer his friendship to Twilight in the human world, which helped to put her at ease. Eventually, she starts to have some mild feelings for him, which shows us a different side of Twilight. He reveals that she’s capable of having a crush, of getting emotionally attached to someone in a different way from her friends. That fact contributed to the way the story played out in Rainbow Rocks. Flash, by turning on Twilight, helped contribute to her heightened state of vulnerability toward the end.
There’s more I could talk about, but the point is: there’s a reason he’s there, he’s not a terrible character, and he’s not worth complaining about.
@angrybrony
Irrationally ragging on the character as you are doing definitely makes you a hater. Denying it only makes you look silly while you’re doing it. Anyway, what you say is flatly untrue. Flash isn’t “boring”, you just don’t like him.
@Millennial Dan
i never said i hate flash, i said he was boring. hate would imply he has something to him to hate but he doesn’t he has NOTHING, no development, no characters and addes barely anything to the story of both movies’ you could cut him completely from both movies and you would lose nothing
@angrybrony
That first sentence of yours isn’t very clear.
As for your challenge, since when is a character judged by the ability to do things that “no one else can”? That is an utterly absurd metric for fictional characters. This isn’t X-Men you know. Flash is an ordinary guy, and there is nothing wrong with that. This is precisely why I say Flash haters tend to be poor critics.
@Millennial Dan
so are you, how do you think you wen say stupid shit like “your parroting”
show me two things that flash has done that no one else can that wasn’t making twi blush
was that so hard?
Oh, almost forgot about this.

You’re who I was talking about in my last comment.

Didn’t say you should shut up. I implied that you’re wrong, unoriginal, and a bit of a whiner.
WOW way to deflect with the universal “shut up” well done sir, well done slow clap
He isn’t. You’re just parroting.
well maybe if wasn’t as boring as watching paint dry less people wouldn’t hate him
But then they wouldn’t have something to bitch and moan about.
@Catonduty
@Bullet Surge
Your logic is fucking absurd, but at least it’s consistent.
and the R63 flash images have less dislike
Because most Brony like lesbians ship.
Because lesbians FTW.
My thoughts when I saw him very first time.
you serious?
WHAT? THEY ARE?
