Do you think the retconing of Keven’s abilities being a that of a human subspecies and the memories that Max had of “Devin” being false was kind of shitty?

he (and the other half-aliens) appeared but they retconned that instead of having half-alien, half-human parents, they were a plumbers black ops experiment designed to take out ben. using captured aliens and kevin’s absorption ability, they grafted the alien’s DNA onto the kids to give them their abilities.
Kind of, he got some as they retconed out his father to being a false memory(now on one know anything about who his father really is, even his mother), and was changed for being an alien hybrid to a human subspecies that had that kind of power.
But it’s also been said, Word of God, that Omniverse is a different timeline/universe from the Original Season and Alien Force/Ultimate Alien, so the original could still have the original backstory. And did they Retcon Kevin that way too?
Well they retconed how he’s a hybrid, along with all the other, they had a former Plumbers take them there when younger(sometime before Keven first met Ben) and fused them with alien DNA, said former Plumbers where part of their black ops team and slit off for the Plumbers as they didn’t like Ben having the Omnitrix so they pickedout the kids of other Plumbers to use as pawns.
