The Best of Both Worlds (Pipsqueak and Rumble)
So. Im sure a lot of you are wondering what this is about.
Well, let me just say that first of all, this is the first time I have ever drawn colts in anthro form, so apologies for any mistakes that I made.
Secondly, this is also the title card for my upcoming fic, also called The Best of Both Worlds, and stars both Rumble and Pipsqueak, along with Scootaloo and Thunderlane. And no, its NOT a slashfic, despite what you may guess from the picture.
Third, Ive always had this crazy headcanon that Rumble and Pip not only know each other, but are best friends and have been since they were colts. I dont know where I got it, but its always been something that intrigued me. So you can bet this will play into the fic.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this drawing and Im looking forward to submitting the fic!

WHY CAN’T THIS BE GAY
Personally, I think poor ol’ Cherone was doomed from the start–the other members had billed him as having “a voice like Sammy Hagar and the stage presence of David Lee Roth.” Plus, when he joined Van Halen, he altered his delivery to try to match the band’s well-known sound, instead of singing at his normal register with Extreme.
But yeah, I do kind of agree with you. Van Halen’s sound really is just Eddie’s fast fingers on guitar (or playing surprisingly well on keyboard).
I’m actually a huge Van Halen fan. To me I don’t care what singer fronts the band, but as long as Eddie plays is all good :)
I actually feel a bit ashamed about that, lol. As a fellow Van Halen fan who owns every album from the first one to OU812 and even For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, on normal circumstances I wouldn’t have gotten two VH album covers confused like that. The fic called for 1984 (though it was referred to as 1974 by Van Haylen) but due to a rush I didn’t have time to ponify the 1984 cover, so I just said, “Screw it, nobody will notice,” and replaced it with the Diver Down cover instead. As it turns out, you were the first person who noticed it. Seems there are sadly not many Van Halen fans in the brony community.
I’m thinking of redoing this anyway, as I didn’t use this in the actual fic and think that I kind of rushed this–it was hard for some people to tell that Pip was supposed to be a girl and they assumed that it was a slashfic.
Hey, at least I didn’t get it mixed up with the cover of Van Halen III with Gary Cherone! *shot*
