@Ponyville Ranger
I read it in a few books that he had ADD and possibly dyslexia. I don’t remember what books they were, but they so mention it in that Tom Hanks movie, Saving Mister Popper
@Captain Unstoppable
Walt Disney had one? That’s news to me. In all the research I’ve done on him I never knew that. Mind if I ask where you read or heard that? I’d like to read up on it.
@Captain Unstoppable
There isn’t a lot to say either way, so I see a lot of both treatment.
There are stories/pictures that portray him as a closet genius and others as an illiterate hick.
Although he’s often given the old “had to drop out of school to work the farm” excuse, in the latter case.
I would actually like to see him come off as being LD. Idk if I am being selfish because I wrote a story on that, but I think that would show a more in-depth character, and could be a bigger story. I just feel that he was lazy is not really a good showing of being a hardworking stallion. From my own experience those who were lazy didn’t care about the grades. Maybe showing that he is LD and needs to learn how to overcome those problems will be a cooler story.
@Captain Unstoppable
I think this is more of, he was very lazy when he was young, but after failing a test he started studying hard, and that lead to the hardworking stallion we have today.
@Captain Unstoppable
I agree, unless this ends by showing he’s intelligent because he studied hard when he was young, I don’t understand making him seem so dumb. He’s always come across as intelligent, just quiet.
why is Big Mac being treated like he is dumb? I would be okay with this if it turned out he was LD or something, but this is just making it look like he is stupid. I love the art, not the message.
Ah, okay. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. I’ll have to rewatch that film again and look into that history.

Disability
I also have one lol
Learning Disabling.
Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Walt Disney, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison, and King George all had one
@Captain Unstoppable
the heck is LD?
It’s an easy stereotype to apply.
