Griffonstone had like 500K. Tanks for the Memories had like 600K.
Though, 400k-500K seemed to be the average for this season so far. The lowest yet was Appleloosa’s most Wanted which was 300K range.
How does that compare to previous episodes?
It’s like 400K range.
I didn’t check the episode 100 viewership. Actually, I never check the viewership.
But there are definitely massive amount of viewers, right?
Probably the hiatus. And maybe the fact that not everyone actually watches it on Discovery Family has something to do with it.
And I don’t even really regard this episode as pandering too much. It could be considered pandering by some, but I don’t see it as a bad thing.
Larson said at the con that this was a request from Hasbro and that he didn’t want to do it originally but ended up with it after another writer didn’t do it. Hasbro wanted it to pander to bronies, according to their view of pandering.
Not terribly surprising; to some extent, the show is a toy commercial, so it isn’t terribly surprising they’d be trying to sell toys to one of their major markets.
Why did they have to be “told”? What makes you so sure they didn’t think of this off their own backs?
This episode is clearly a love letter to the fans from everyone involved, so give Larson some credit and assume he wasn’t simply ordered to write this.
That apparently seems to be the case. With how the episode turned out, I’m not complaining.
and boy did they ever
Well, they are old pros at making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
I thought this was a joke but I just watched the episode, it’s really in there.
The fandom is once again, psychic!
