I would have to agree with you on that, anyway…and on second viewing, Jack Black isn’t that terrible. He can pull off a good movie now and then (Kung-Fu Panda, Shallow Hal).
and that wasn’t even the original rant I found. I got this one confused for another one with the same last three sentences and though the last part was almost the same, the motive was clearly different. the original guy was alot more pissed that there was pop music in the trailer, and that this was movie looked more like a jumanji adventure than a poultrygeist horror. because how dare a kids movie not appeal to my liking.
as for the guy I accidentally posted, there are alot of flaws in his argument. “everything must be dug up for money” last time I checked goosebumps hasn’t really ever gone into a hiatus in the past 24 years. the one thing that continues to be even more hilarious everytime I rad it is “bad/wrong actors” I don’t think I have to explain the things wrong with those words
as for my own opinion, the cast choices are definitely iffy but I think that the story sounds really awesome. It’s basically jumanji/scooby doo 2 but with goosebumps. if they fail with that I’ll be extremely disappointed, but I’m still worried that this movie will be like “remember monster blood/the haunted mask/deadhouse/fever swamp” (oh yeah. and slappy’s the main villain. so that’s one good)
Or perhaps some 90s kids want to show it to their own kids now, have them interested in the same things they were…
