I’m new here. I didn’t even know what “necro-posting” was and I don’t see why it’s such a crime. It isn’t like we have a “comments are closed” system here, and just because a thread was deemed “old” by somebody (and “old” is a very relative term), I’m suddenly a jerk for making a comment here? If you don’t like seeing new posts on old stuff, why don’t you unsubscribe?

Necroposting drama posts is taboo because it alerts everyone who posted no matter how long ago, and can effectively be brigning stuff up from months ago. Also images like this are often made solely to start shit and/or as a reaction to other shit starting images that are better off not dredged up again.

To the best of my knowledge few people will mind if you necrobump a genuine piece of art or a friendly discussion thread.

And is the way people react really so different from other communities? If you go onto a forum, bump a drama thread from months ago people will get annoyed and complain about necro bumping
