I and others always figured that e is lowercase for a reason, and they seem to show it in every stupid controversy. Ethics is the farthest thing from their minds.

I’m agreeing with all the other rational minded people here; a pony wouldn’t be aghast at hearing that a human is an omnivore, they live in the same world as with griffins and I know those guys aint vegetarians.  
If any human were to go there and tell a pony that they require proteins to live that only come from another animal, a pony would probably direct him to somewhere they can get fish or you’d have to be an insectivore.

Well in my fanfic, the mane 6 eat vegetarian MRE’s, even though its been proven that even vegetarian MRE’s have some meat content in them. If humans did eat meat in Equestria, I dont think they would think it’s absolutely wrong and devastating to think that we’re omnivores. They seem to be more advanced and understanding than we are as a species, as they dont have idiotic organizations like PETA or ALF for example.

I suppose the poster’s got a point there.

I know first hand that horses eat meat. The mare I trained and worked with from the age of 6 months was an avid meatball lover. She had a thing for ground beef in general. She made it a point that if I had a meatball sub and I did not share, she would lay into me. We took on a herd style greeting known as sharing breath. SO If I ate a meatball sub and she smelled it, I was due for a right sharp smart of the neck or shoulder. She hated green peppers though… and beets… She loved pizza and we always shared watermelon at Capps picnic park LOL

Yeah but humans need to be shown as sick bastards compared to ponies in fan fics, for whatever reason. Having them be mortified at the mere thought of something, especially a human, eating meat would serve the author’s purpose well.

I liked the ‘Fluttershy doesn’t approve of killing unless she’s doing the killing herself’ caption instead.

Ponies (and horses) are not herbivores. They’re omnivores and better adjusted for a vegetarian diet, but they will eat meat, and kill for it.

I’ve heard pretty much every animal demonised in some respect. It’s sad, really.

Though they might not be too crazy about you eating animals that can talk back. Like cows.

Modern media seems to have “bred” the knowledge that horses and ponies can sometimes be vicious out of our minds, it seems. They have been recorded in the past as being able to kill lions and people… And eat them.

It is fan fiction much like everything else. At least the premise sounds good enough to read a couple sentences. Before seeing all the grammar and spelling errors, and run-on sentences.
