If that’s the case, then in Transformers 5, Optimus comes back to Earth as a Genocidal Facist. Why stop at Twilight? Why not make Snake Eyes suddenly Cobra in G.I. Joe 3? Fuck!

Implied omnicidal maniac that’s very important you can’t have the villain in a kid show say “hey I’m going to go kill everyone” but you can have them say hey “I’m going to go do this thing which will eventually kill everyone” (but the censors think that the kids are too stupid to notice)

There´s an entire universe of difference from those two. I bet you could add a little hunger for power in there. Besides, don´t kids movies love to make us humans look like bastards?

Yeah. Their friend from another dimension has a version in their own who’s from another school sneaking around their campus and accidentally creating portals to Columbus, the very last thing they’ll find out is she’s completely identical. Princess Twilight developed a love of friendship for little over a year, but Twilight spent her parallel existence without friendship.
 
Unfortunately, there needs to be more information than what’s available now to go on what the Canterlot Kids Club think of Crystal Twilight in depth, as opposed to all the scenes where they’re not even bloody interacting. :T

Of course they could also do the whole go mad from the revelation route when she discovers Pony Twilight but that’s a little dark for a kids movie

I doubt it more likely they are going to do the opposite and assume she is but she’s really not

I kind of doubt it. Even S1 Twilight was never really bitchy. Withdrawn and inconsiderate, yes, but that alone doesn’t make you bitchy. Twilight is not the type to hurt others for her own enjoyment.

I also doubt that. I am trying to think of a single scene in the entire 5 seasons or EQG where Twilight for the slightest moment looked like she desired power over others. I can’t find one.

I could live with that.

Wouldn´t that be something? What if she is trying to befriend the humane five in order to unlock the power of friendship and therefore become an all powerful magician?

…. There has been nothing shown so far that indicates that but hey whatever floats your boat.
