I believe Twilight said the spell only lasts a few minutes, so it’s only dark in the sense that Moondancer had no problem with the idea of Twilight being magically restrained if it got her out of her mane.
 
Though the question has to be asked if you come out of the book the same way you came in, or if any changes made stick by you once you come out. Being turned into an earth pony isn’t the end of the world.
 
Huh, if the changes are permanent then the spell might become Larsons method. Bring your friends into the book, give them wings and horns, and boom: army of alicorns.

It could be that any changes you recieve in the book are rendered mute and said pony is restored to their actual form once the spell is over.

I don’t really feel like Sunset replaced Twilight in Rainbow Rocks (Friendship Games might wind up being another story). Twilight hasn’t been the center of every episode, either, and I don’t see why that would change just because she temporarily has thumbs.
 
I wouldn’t mind Sunset joining the show, but I’d have to say that replacing Twilight with her would probably be the worst way to do it. If anything, wouldn’t it be Twilight that Sunset came to first when she needed help?

I thought she was just right. She just wasn’t sure ‘how’ to be a friend or what to do. She could’ve taken charge earlier, but then she was afraid she’d fall into old habits. So yeah, she wasn’t ‘too woobie-fied’ at all.
