Vavacung’s never really gone for realistic. They’ve allways done whatever seems the most fun/coolest to them. I do enjoy the comic for that.  
At least it’s unapologetic in its absurdity, unlike something like shudders By Skywalkers Hand.

If by “avoid conflict” you mean flagrantly instigating two beings several echelons stronger than her, under the insane impression that imitating a dead brother and husband would make her position stronger, then yes, she most certainly is avoiding conflict. And the Lannisters are just a really tight knit family unit.
