Because pancakes. And for once, it is not a dismissive excuse (sort of). The Alolan populous actually suspect round, fluffy pancakes is the reason for Alolan Raichu.

Because the whole pokken roster was the result of polls held for fans of the anime, who are NOT the fans of the games.
Otherwise we’d have Hawlucha, and Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop in the roster, but see, that’s clever, and doesn’t fall into the category of “furry bait” that suicune, braixen, and lucario are under.
Maybe bowtie-wearing owls are based on someone from the ’40s or ’20s. :3
(I know, last one not an owl, but he does match the coat color and has leaves that look like a bowtie.)
Im tired of pikachu too, why we need two pikachus in pokken?

That will always infuriate me. I will forever detest pikachu for that.
You’d have to be pretty lucky to get any female starter; the male to female ratio for starters are 7:1.

raichu will never get a mega or something especial that made him looks better than pikachu… the curse of being the franchise pet’s evolution

Also, let’s cross our fingers that next remake will finally give Raichu the love it deserves! Come-on, HGSS gave us Spiky-Eared Pichu, ORAS gave us Cosplay Pikachu, what about Raichu’s exclusive thing?

I really wanted to be like Ash and get female Snivy in Black version, but no, I didn’t get lucky. Then I tried my luck again for a female Snivy in Black 2, but still no female Snivy.
