downvotes are useless
There is, if you go out of your way to do it, of course, or if that’s all you do. A casual downvote here ‘n there never hurt anyone (at least in my eyes) but don’t go crazy with it, or users and mods will notice and get suspicious.
Hmmm, I thought there was also a rule against mass down voting particular tags or something… Never really understood how that was enforced tho.
I think downvotes are fine to be used in any way you want (like upvotes/faves) as long as you don’t downvote literally EVERYTHING, or make multiple accounts to abuse the feature. (Don’t do that!)
I don’t really think there is any set guide for how down votes are used… I just assume they’re the usual popularity contest one would expect from such a setup…
I’d have to agree with that.
Downvottes are perfectly legitimately usable for things that are, say, gore for the sake of destruction of ponies. Or “artwork” that consists 90% of recolored human feet (wow, this is SO totally pony related).
Congrats, you are officially using the downvote button incorrectly. Unless you’re only downvoting things that suck from an artistic standpoint. “I don’t like this” is what filters are for.
Morbidly obese tends to get applied to anything beyond ‘somewhat chubby’, but when combined with ‘immobile’ tends to nab most of it. But most people don’t tag ‘immobile.’ :I
Plus I tend to add exceptions to my filters for vore related stuff, because muh fetish.

I’ve been here since the start, for one. I’d say it’s the main site I go on to enjoy ponies. Plus, I tend to leave comments, even if I’m not adding anything to the discussion or enhancing the enjoyment of the image.
