I suppose it is not a problem for them to eat non-intelligent animal or maybe animals who died out of naturals causes to not be killer.

They’re clearly seen eating eggs and meat-like substances in the sandwiches.
 
They raise pigs… what else do pigs provide other than meat?
 
They’re clearly omnivores in canon. This shouldn’t be any sort of big deal.

Of course they wouldn’t eat just meat. Their metabolism can’t handle that kind of diet. But they would partake in the ritualistic consumption of flesh.

Horses are herbivores and they can’t digest meat properly. Ponies in the show do hav the advantage of being able to vomit, but that just means they will vomit after eating the meat, whereas a real-life horse would get sikk and maybe die.
