Siege of the Crystal Empire Part 3! A nefarious foe returns to full power to reclaim that which is rightfully his! Ancient mysteries will be revealed as Twilight and Cadance seek a way to stop the darkness from spreading! An epic story for the ages unfolds!
Did you even see Crystal Empire? Twilight was forced in the sidelines while Cadance saved the day (again). And even then, she felt bad about Celestia told her she had to do it on her own. Even though any sane person would put the people before a teacher’s request. Especially when said teacher has a bit of a untrustworthy personality.
Radiant Hope: “Sombra, who is she?!”
Queen Chrysalis: “Ugh! Who’s She?!”
King Sombra: “Go back to the castle, Chryssie, we’ll talk about this later!”
@LightningBolt King Sombra so edgy he cut off his version number!
Sorry, some people say this exact sort of thing in earnest, even on this site.
Oh come on, you should be able to tell I was being facetious there.
I can’t even think of a single episode or comic where a problem was solved by hugging or apologizing. Usually those come after.
Then they open up the book and see that every problem is solved by cute widdle ponies hugging a whole bunch and saying they’re sorry, then they all lived happily ever after until the next “badass” villain farts out a nega-rainbow.
Since playing video games as a wee babby on the Nintendo Entertainment System when it was still fresh off the boats, I’d say I have enough experience with the gamer matrix that I wouldn’t fall into that trap applying it to other things.
The power to destroy lesbian fanfics?
Oh god what does it mean
Which is all well and good if you don’t fall into the trap of watching/reading with the goal of justifying your expectations.
Hideous, but also bad-ass.
Next time someone asks me what MLP is about, I will just say: “Oh, it’s about unicorns, like this guy” and show them this.
Both faces look hideous (inb4 that’s the point)
people will call it even more edgy
Probably not, but hey, they might surprise us.
Edited because: grimdark
Eeeeeh, not so much judging as I am expecting/preparing for the worst, hoping for the best.
I follow the gamer matrix with pony:
I can’t very well judge it if I haven’t read it. Even I will admit passing judgement on it before it comes out is unfair.
Edited because: grimdark
Actually she did say that Sombra was her least favorite character to write on Writers Panel I think it was Las Pegasus Unicon 2013 the link I’m pretty sure Is on King Sombra’s page on mlp wikia.
@Jades
I remember Meghan McCarthy saying she could have done a better job writing Sombra; I haven’t read anything from her saying he was “worst villain”, “her least favorite character”, or that “she didn’t like writing him”. Don’t feel obliged to provide proof to me if it’s that much trouble, though.
@Background Pony #E7AF
OK, now you’re judging this upcoming storyline.
Uh, I’m judging the Sombra Fiendship issue that came out months ago. Though I’m still not really looking forward to this arc at all since all its going to be is 3 issues of “oh noes villains!” And then the good guys win in the last issue because friendship and everything is fine. The worst that will happen is a few chipped crystals.
It’s a cover of an issue that’s not out yet, you could at least wait until it’s out to judge it. :P
Actually I’m pretty sure called Sombra her least favorite character written and how she didn’t like writing him.
