Well, they used to be before the updates and there’s still Farsight and his enclaves.
 
Again, warhammer is grimderp. I still enjoy it, but I know for a fact it goes a bit too far with it sometimes.

Warhammer takes some getting used to. The Fantasy version wasn’t as grimderp though. {Yes, 40k is grimderp, in that it goes out of its way to be as grim as possible, even if it doesn’t make sense.} It’s still fun.
 
I honestly like how the Tau are the nicest of the bunch. It’s actually refreshing having some good guy faction that isn’t the humans, even though they aren’t as nice as they once were because fans got pissy that some aliens were actually nice. They’re still nicer than the Imperium. {It’s why I only read scant stuff on them, except for Cain’s books and some Guardsmen or Salamanders/Space Wolves stories.}
 
Of course, the Tau don’t really get much attention, with only one or two books to themselves.
 
I’d also go for Orks, cause they’re the funniest of them.
