It’s not the muzzles that make me feel they’re teenage colts instead of fully-grown stallions so much as it is their mane styles.
Nah, I think it’s the artist way to draw the stallion judging by few of the work.

They don’t look like fully-grown stallions in that second frame. Definitely reading as teenage colts (or would teenagers still be considered stallions and no longer colts?)
You mean Stallion, right? Because a colt is for young male pony.
