This is a joke piece, but I think you’re onto something here! If Jan Animation or SillyFilly Studios wanted to stick their neck out, this could be a great music video.

A woman singing a redub of the main vocal track as Luna, backed up by the Shadowbolts as they bop around dreamscapes, the Moon Princess occasionally pranking Celestia within hers… or getting thoughtful and pensive about her own past as the lyrics may fit, before shaking the mood off.

This comic; this artist, and many others like it, aren’t emulating history. History, as you have so less than eloquently entailed, is pretty fucked up. Come to think of it, now is pretty fucked up.  
Some of us find it novel to imagine a world where two people can be family; can share the bond of sisterhood regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, or social role.  
So no: I won’t be picking one. I’ll take both my “multiracial family” and my “royal family,” thanks.

First, Muslim is a religion, not a race. Second, the concept that a mixed race family is “casual” or “plebian” or that they usually end in violence is fucking stupid.  
Third, Celestia has shown several times in the show that she is not at all a conventional princess or royal figure: she plays practical jokes and pranks, she tries to ditch stuffy parties, she relishes that the girls brought so much chaos to the Gala to mix things up. And she’s not, to the best of our knowledge, a figurehead royal like the UK. She actually is seen managing the goings-on in her kingdom rather than a parliament or advisors.  
She adopted Cadance, who was a pegasus, as her niece and made her an alicorn. Who’s to say the previous god-emperor/empress didn’t adopt Luna in the same fashion? Or Celestia herself? The definition of family goes beyond the boundries of blood.  
Finally, and most importantly, IT’S A HEADCANON! Any skintone people draw with that isn’t the ponies’ coat color isn’t technically correct. According to Hasbro, Luna should be dark blue skinned.

if this was some normal/casual/pleb family then I would agree (specially that there is odd fashion that European girls marry with/look Muslims/Asian husbands… and then usually it have bad end/end with serious violence or tragedy… but but but “he is so handsome and sexy ;_; I though he would threat me like a princess”) but royalty always tries to keep their blood pure and don’t mix with other nations/racial to avoid dishonor/disgrace of whole family (that’s why in past incest was even a real thing in royalty when family couldn’t find worthy husband/wife for their kids in other near countries/cities).
 
I can’t imagine how big shame Prince William would bring on whole family/House of Windsor if he marry with non white European girl and then their kid ends with black (African)/yellow(Asian) skin. Ayyy lmao future prince of English would be black :^) Queen Elizabeth II would get heart attack and Princess Diana would “turn over in her grave” Call me racist or non multiracial/multicultural follower
