I meant more along the lines of a permanent lock, so the user couldn’t change it. But you guys are fairly liberal, so we probably wouldn’t get to that point. Which, you know, isn’t a criticism or anything; that usually does more good than bad.
Plus, I guess multiaccounting would ensue, and who needs that.

People just want a reason to complain, preferring to ignore any form of logic or reasoning
Would it be too totalarist for mods to forcibly block tags of things people are repeat, repeat offenders of blowing their shit over?
I’ve seen people arguing that the site should be tailored to their tastes instead, or they do use filters, but don’t hide tags like Flash Sentry or other things they may hate a lot for absolutely no reason.
At that point, it’s not lazyness or unknowing, it’s outright refusal to do so just so they can complain and downvote. One or two downvotes here and there is nothing too bad, but when that comprises more than half of their downvotes, there is something bad,
I always wonder why people refuse to use the filters on one of the only websites I know of specifically tailored to filter content you dislike. Sure, other sites have blocking options, but not as a core feature of their platform! If you want to be assmad, go to Youtube, they live for that type of crap.
