I guess if half of the seven billion population of the Earth are first-worlders, the bare minimum of uninformed purchasers is far above one or ever ten thousand, looking back at my thought. X3
You’re looking back at the game. It’s considered one of the worst of all time today. At the time, there was no publically-available internet with endless game review sites, or half a dozen video game magazines. All you had to go on was the box art, the text and screenshots on said box, and word of mouth.
Plus, it was a licensed movie tie-in game. It sold way over 1000 copies. In fact, part of the reason Atari had to dump so many unsold copies was because they thought due to the E.T. license people would buy copies who didn’t even own an Atari. They made 2 million copies. Only 1 million Atari 2600s existed at the time. Not sold, existed.
Even today with all the reviews we have, a horrible licensed movie tie-in game will likely sell well over 1000 copies.
Furry: Siksakubur? What has the shirt ever done for me!?
Mina: No, Furry, take the deal!
Furry: No way!
There’s a candy from East Europe named Topkek. However, the product doesn’t seem to be the origin of the meme. So, not many people actually know, lol.
@Itsthinking
Red, red whine make me feel so fine
Keep me rockin’ all-a the time XD
Laughed at your pun. And sorry, don’t really want to see Mina again.
What does kek’d mean?
I kek’d.
I actually was referring to general laziness. Though, not directly, yeah. >w<
Looks like there was about a 90 minute difference. I saw it on my watchlist first so didn’t realize the timing when I checked my notifications.
hover your mouse over them.
Cross referencing the time stamps is hard. I’m actually serious about that. XD
It was not on here when I posted my comment.
It’s here on derpi already (taken from the artist’s DA page)
I’d hazard it’s possible E.T. for the Atari 2600 sold less than 1000 copies, which sounds like a relatively acceptable number for the worst game ever. Though, yes, shirts aren’t games. >w<
@thps48
Again, I’m sure one of these was sold.
*don’t
Right, I didn’t actually know the sales figures for that one FF, but I assumed they were relatively high. Last I heard, products labeled MLP could just as well be labeled net profit. Not to say other franchises topple them, but at the same time MLP hardly ever loses investments. X3
I mean, one of the 15k people who read the comic has to want this.
Comic sales probably number over ten million aggregate… Well, they would if they’ve been published since Fall 2012. XD
I mean, statistically there’s someone who wants this, right?
“man that would be really useful if staff wore these”.
