Maybe we should donate some of this to the local orphanage? The ORPHANAGE is modeled in pure gold!
Those colts and fillies are eating more fancy food than I am. Holy Luna mother of Fausticorn.
See, Sassy Saddles? When you say something’s “limited edition” you can double or triple your MSRP for making less of a thing.
It’s called scarcity I see, but was eightfold really necessary? Sure it is! SCARCITY!
Hey Princess Luna, want a free hat? Is that three hats stacked on top of one another? I shall indulge!
Oh, look, 50 orders for whatever Luna’s wearing. Those orders were all mine. I want 153 hats stacked on one another.
Okay then… Rarity? I’ve made a huge mistake. I guess we’ll get at least a hundred orders.
Can you manage 15300 hats? This is it. This is how it ends. The planet will turn into a giant pile of fashion and accessories.
… Wait a second, I’m Rarity. There’s nothing better that could happen.
…Point taken.
Neither of those places are all that inaccessible, if you’ve got the right allies, though.
Dragons can dive into lava, and there’s quite a few creatures that can breathe water (likely including skilled unicorns with the right spell) and potentially un-freeze seas.
I was thinking they’d need to be somewhere that would render them inaccessible even if they weren’t destroyed, like in lava or at the bottom of a freezing sea.
And for some reason, I was under the impression that Zecora had been given the amulet for safekeeping rather than being tasked with its destruction.
Oh, I don’t know, I feel ‘feeding it to a dragon’ (even if the dragon is yourself) and ‘entrusting it to the mystical hermit with strange and powerful magic’ to be fairly safe ways to dispose of magical artifacts (as long as you don’t need to get them back, ever)
Otherwise, you need to maintain some dedicated place for magical artifacts, with all the workforce and expense that holds, and you’ve still just put it in a secured but well-known place.
Even if you decide to destroy it, feeding it to a dragon or letting Zecora destroy it with unknown means at an unknown location and dispose of the remains in an unknown way, is probably safer than dismantling it in the middle of Ponyville.
I dun fixed it.
I’m on a horse
THE BOUTIQUE IS NOW DIAMONDS.
And if the book can do that, imagine what the Alicorn Amulet might be capable of. I hope Zecora took that thing straight to Mount Doom.
Is it just me, or do evil magic artifacts tend to get handled with shocking carelessness in pretty much any work of fiction they exist in?
You know, assuming one of the princesses makes the nun look trendy.
Didn’t Spike eat it though? Actually, something that evil could regenerate for all we know.
Also, at least she was generous enough to rebuild the orphanage of pure gold too.
It was glorious
