Yeah, I personally like ladies (both people and characters) with a bit of chub too.
But oh well, artistic liberty is a good thing, and an artist can draw a character however they wish,
It’s cute, but yeah, too many fanartists tend to make chubbier characters look too thin.

She’s still noticeably thicker then Daphne. Though, some more modern versions of her portray her as a bit thinner.
Velma has never been “big”. Her original character design has a distinct hourglass shape and only small details have been modified over the years.

But fat chicks don’t extist in “Equestria Girls.” Even Mrs. Cake is a lot thinner then her pony counterpart.
Just draw thin limbs (similar to the other EQGs) sticking out of an enormous fat body.
