@Background Pony #6612
As a longtime Nintendo-fan I disagree, but whatever. I’m biased. :P
Also, ironically the Wii did much better then the GameCube. (Heck, the 3DS did better then it too. Not sure if the WiiU has though.) Though, I felt the GameCube was a good system regardless. I feel Nintendo gets kinda dumped on too much in the gamer internet social/news media anyways.
so true
How was I supposed to know that?
Technically, doesn’t that prove the opposite sense the PS4 is said to be the most powerful of the 3 main consoles?
Though, I hear the 3DS has sold more systems/games then any of the main consoles, (and has more games for it both retail, and downloadable) but people don’t count it, because it’s a portable.
Similar “problem” that consoles this generation are facing: The One is selling better than the 360, but it’s still “losing” to PS4. Relatively, yes. But compared to its predecessor, it’s doing gangbusters. So, it’s all in how you look at it.
Ironically, despite finishing “last place” behind the PS2 & first X-Box, it still did very well. Also, the GCN consoles were cheaper to make then their pricetag, (even when they went down to $99.) so the GameCube still made profits. (In fact, the PS2 & X-Box lost profits for each console sold, because they were expensive to manufacture, so they had to make up for lost profits with all of the game discs sold.)
So the GameCube wasn’t exactly a failure. (Neither is the WiiU actually, despite what the gamer media claims. I even hear “Super Mario Maker” boosted it’s sales alot in Japan recently.)
@Bonklefan99
Doubt Hasbro would ever let ’em make it T-rated. This might be making fun of how some games in the 2000s generation got “T-rated,” despite being somewhat family-friendly, or aimed at families, and such. (Like SSB Melee, and “The Incredibles” game, and such.)
This is why the ESRB came out with the “E-10” rating in 2005, so there would be a rating between “E,” and “T.”
So good, it failed!
The rule with consoles: the least powerful machine of the current gen always wins.
…how would this be real? GCN went out of production years ago.
