She did have screen time, But can you really remember much of any of it outside the opener/finale and Testing Testing? She was just kinda there and delivered exposition most of the time.
And Dog and Pony Show was totally Rarity centered as well, it’s rather rare that a character get more than 2 pure solo episodes a season, and yes in this regard Rarity has been screwed over in that it’s only happened once, but the same is basically the case for Fluttershy, S4 is the only season with 2 pure Fluttershy episodes (and even then you could argue that Rarity’s role in Filli Vanili was big enough to make it Fluttershy/Rarity) And Applejack who rarely even has episodes truly about her (then again, she DOES also have more total appearances than ANYONE else)
So basically the stronger argument isn’t “This individual character gets too little” but rather than Twilight, Dash and actually especially Pinkie, who has multiple pure solo episodes in basically every season that isn’t 3 get an unfair amount, and it’s honestly hard for me to say that Twilight even does anymore, she didn’t even really get the premiere in S5.

I mean look, I agree that Rarity should have more focus, she deserves more “pure” Rarity episodes in particular, like Canterlot Botique and Sweet and Elite, don’t get me wrong. If it was up to me she’d probably be the main character.
Anyway If you want to talk poor characterization talk to Pinkie in most of S4, Dash in most of S2 and Fluttershy once her character was basically spent by S4. Rarity’s had poor individual episodes of characterization, looking back a part of me wants to hate Sonic Rainboom for basically cutting off Rarity’s legs in fandom opinion just as Suited for Success was making people warm up to her. but there’s nothing near as substained as there is for a lot of other characters and thank god for that.
I guess you could say that season 1 had plenty of Rarity, but I’d say that the only really Rarity focused episode was Suited For Success. Also, Sisterhooves Social was more focused on Sweetie Belle(best CMC btw) imo.
Another thing, while Twilight is my favorite, I’m not gonna sit here and deny that Twi had plenty of screentime in S4. Maybe even as much as S1.
*2/5 = 40%. At least 40 percent of the show’s runtime has neglected this character, and it’s likely much higher than that when you count things like poor characterization and distance between significant appearances.

Still, though - S2 and S3 are 2/5 of the seasons in this series. That’s a lot of seasons for a character to be neglected.
Eh, I’d disagree. Rarity got screwed over big time in S3, and she just got enough time in the rest of the seasons to pick up the slack in comparison to the rest of the cast.
People are going to complain about any Rarity episode before it airs just because of the character attached to the episode instead of the merits of the episode itself. It’s one of the reasons I hate how much of a place the fandom has in the actual product now - because if it was the fandom’s way, I feel like it’d be nothing but Fluttershy, Luna, and Twilight allllllllllllllll the time with a ton of references and anything else will drum up vitriol in the fandom.
Point being that they’re going to complain regardless, even if Rarity doesn’t get any more episodes this seasons - actually, they’d probably just make background pony jokes in that case, lol.
Eh she’s my fav but id say she was only screwed over in S2, where she only really got one episode and kinda sorta shared Sisterhooves Social and S3 where she had nothing. in S1 she has 4 episodes (5 if you count Sonic Rainboom as Dash/Rarity) and in S4 she has 3 + some major support appearances, in S5 basically the same deal. Also while Rarity has more co-star episodes than pure solos, pretty much all her co-stars are ABOUT her anyway aside from like Inspiration Manifestation.
Honestly in S4 if anyone got screwed over it was Twilight, who yes got the opener and the finale, but got to do almost nothing inbetween.
It’s kinda silly to complain about Rarity getting 3 episodes, even if they are together, that just puts her on par with Dash and bellow what Pinkie will have by the end of the season, since Pinkie has 2 more coming up. I suspect by the end of the season, Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Twilight will all have 3 episodes (since the finale probably focus on Twilight), Fluttershy will have 1 or 2 and Pinkie will have 4.
Now Applejack, THERE’s a character who despite getting plenty of episodes is screwed over, because half of “Applejack’s episodes” aren’t REALLY about her, being ether about her family or spending as much time on the other characters as on her.
Fluttershy is looking like a strong contender for this seasons screwed over character if Scare-Master is her only real episode and the thing with her and her Brother is confined to “What About Discord” as I suspect it will be, since Discord will overshadow it by virtue of being himself.

FlutterDash fans have about as little ground to complain about a lack of their favorite pair as Rarijack fans do man, Dash and Rarity needed an episode together frankly.

Seeing as how Rarity always gets the short end of the stick every season? She deserves 3 episodes in a row.
Because they still haven’t found a way to make a split episode involving Fluttershy to where she isn’t totally overshadowed.

They’ve gotten more shipteases this season+Rainbow Rocks than RariJack has the whole length of the show. There is no shyness or subtle for an added allure, they’re about as subtle as two pieces of Styrofoam rubbing together .-.

The show’s both late and coy on it.
I think I’ve just about had my fill of Clothes Horse for a few episodes, though.
