Maybe if I hadn’t already painted it.  
Base colour’s on it already, (Bleached Bone, and I haven’t much of that left). I’ve painted over very uneven surfaces before. It’s not a problem. Just a bit of a challenge.

well if you didnt notice on my sonata whirlwind i cut off the ladder parts from the door and filled the holes with green stuff so that may be an option for you.

Good to hear. May explain why your interest hasn’t waned.
 
I’m still playing with my own army regularly.  
I’ve more or less finished the Sunset Shimmer rhino I was doing. Still needs 1 more pic on the right of the APC. It’s got the ladder door on that side so putting the picture on that side will be a little more difficult.
 
Don’t know if you’ve looked, but I have been doing a lot of traditional art here too. Currently working on turning my 40k crossover story in to a comic. Lot of work though.
