Should point out that, Steven Universe and Clarence are rated TV-PG compared to MLP rated TV-Y. Even LoK, which had to be announced afterwards is TV-Y7. I don’t we’ll see one just yet, though Lybon is close.

So what there are two shows on TV that have openly gay couples in them “Steven universe and Clarence” but that being said I don’t think the show would pair any of the main six with each other it’s would mess with the dynamic too much plus I think Hasbro is still too scared of doing that but if they ever did have an open couple on the show it would probably be Lyra and bon bon

Er…maybe they want to tell us something ? like that in season 6 will see them as couple ??…Is that really possible ? i mean its still show for kids.

 
There’s actually a lot of subtlety going on here, it’s interesting. Applejack looks more nervous the closer Rarity gets, then freezes and bites her lip when Rare gets really close for a moment. And then laughs it off when Rarity suddenly stops and switches moods instead. Looks to me less that she minded any of that than she was too nervous/shocked to know how to react, just considering the very next scene after when she watches Rarity walk away is this.

There’s a key difference here that I’m sure people have already noticed.
 
One: Lyra and Bon Bon BOTH have the bedroom eyes.
 
Two: Bon-Bon has her hoof on Lyra’s cheek, indicating affection.
 
Both of which are missing from the AJ and Rarity comparison.
