So I wore my Maud Pie shirt today! I’m starting to feel very comfortable wearing pony shirts daily. Guess it comes with age I’m 23 year old college guy now. XD

Hmmm okay then. :/
I go to a community college. :T
O_o
What the fuck kinda people do you hang out with?
Its why the only bit of fandom merch I’ve allowed myself is a Nepeta shirt (A black t-shirt with a green Leo symbol the average layperson is going to assume is just astrology related) and why if someone made some similarly subtle brony merch I might actually be interested.
I don’t think many people do that. Sure, there’s gonna be some sadsacks who use their t-shirt merch as a jumping-off point to start a discussion about the fandom they’re obsessed with, but really?
That said, my sister has a G1 MLP t-shirt she loves to wear (I’d love to have one too, but it’d look really out of place on an obese middle-aged guy so I don’t bother xD), and loves to try and start conversations with her workmates about…Doctor Who. ;D
(She can’t help it, my whole family and I are all Who-crazy ^^)
I’m sorry for your experiences but seriously it’s just a shirt. It’s not like people who wear a fandom shirt talk about that said fandom all day that would just be weird.
Man, I’m sorry for your shitty experience. I haven’t had any of that. But still I agree with Pagan wearing a fandom shirt doesn’t imply you are an annoying asshole.
Yeeeeaaaaah you might be reading too much into this I don’t do shit like that and I would wear this shirt pretty sure it’s just someone wearing what they like last I checked wearing a shirt didn’t turn you into an annoying asshole with an obsession.
Neither one does anything to help contain the spaghetti.
Fandom merch in public, regardless of the fandom, is usually socially awkward as fuck. People so unconcerned as to proudly display their power level for all to see also tend to do super cringeworthy shit like, for example, using their fandom bullshit in every single discussion. Say, if you’re in a class and that person is inevitably the one who has to bring up Hasbro every time a business example is used, or talk about MLP whenever the topic is dealing with popular products. (Yes I have had real experiences with this kind of shit on campus repeatedly.)
The TL;DR version is, ‘please don’t be that guy’, and wearing shirts is usually a sign of being that guy.
>not wearing pony shirts
No implication here. I’m still wearing the shirt. XD
That’s probably because I was holding my phone and so it scrunched up the shirt that way when I took a picture. XD Yeah it does doesn’t it.
It’s better than wearing one of those hideous body suits.
