Well, it’s a given that Babs Seed is related to the Oranges in some way or another. I think it’s silly to think this screencap gives any more evidence as to the extent of that relationship, much less “confirms” it, but it’s not like OP is assuming a relationship out of thin air.

I can totally squeeze out a fan justification for Babs being less classy than her parents (if they’re the Oranges) though: “After Applejack ran off back to the country the Oranges decided to put less pressure to class it up on their next two dependents & Babs ended up hanging around with some lower class kids a lot or something.”

The Apple Clan is a large family. For all we know, they’re merely Babs’s aunt and uncle too, and her parents are totally different ponies.
I like the juxtaposition of the snooty Oranges spawning the very working-class-sounding Babs, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense given how they tried to get the “country” out of AJ. Personally, I headcanon (and wrote) that Babs’s parents are lower-class trash and she does not get along with them, preferring to spend time with other family.
