Yeah, I’m aware of it. As a whole though, people on this website don’t like seeing Sonic on here. That’s not to say there aren’t a few who do.

C’mob guys, this doesn’t deserve that much downvotes.

Not that I’ve paid attention to the Sonic fandom, but the Sonic hate does sound the same as inane zilch I’ve seen on Youtube.

Sonic looks a bit off, but otherwise not a badly-drawn pic. I like the traditional coloring.

Plus it’s obvious anonymous trolls love to upload the “bad/copy-and-paste” Sonic pics just to get a reaction from the Sonic-haters, and create “Sanik drama” on the site. It’s the easiest way to troll people on this site.
 
And yes, the Sonic-haters really should filter the “Sonic the Hedgehog” tags, if seeing that blue nightmare makes their blood boil so much. (And ironically, they act like the pony-haters.)
 
Regardless there actually are quite a few Sonic fans on the site, and ironically the “Sonic Discussion” thread in the forums is one of the few forum threads on Derpibooru that is practically drama-free.  
I think the Sonic fans on Derpi act more mature then the Sonic-haters sometimes.

It’s somewhat deserved given the floods on Sanic quality crossovers and shipping art, but decent quality stuff like this very much does not deserve that hate.

I mean, I get where the knee-jerk reactions came from, what with the regular floods of the lowest quality of crossover fanart, but… knee-jerks aren’t a good thing to act on, y’know? ‘Sides, if you hate all Sonic crossover art enough that they’re downvoted regardless of quality, like, that’s why the filters exist, guys. Their entire raison d’etre.

Even on good art, people still thumb down the hell out of Sonic and Rainbow Dash even if they’re not doing ‘shipping’ things.
